The Vision of the Rotary Club of Curepipe is to sustainably enhance the living environment of the fellow citizens of Curepipe.

Club Strength
- Majority of club members are senior Rotarians with long experience
- Members are highly qualified professionals in various fields; namely in Engineering, Architecture, Law, Administration, Management, Human Resoures, Communication, Finance,….
Club Weaknesses
- Large number of members are above sixty years of age
- Only 50 to 60% of members do actively participate in implementation of projects
- 35% of club members are above 70 years.
Opportunities
- Members are well connected professionally and can thus advise or support the community
- Given the age group and professional connections of members, fund raising is not difficult.
Challenges
- Increasing gap between rich and poor
- Disappearance of the middle class as a strata of the population, hence indicating an increase in the lower level of the population strata.
- Increase in illiteracy rate.
- Health problem
- Improvement in water saving and quality and the living environment
- Values and civism in society
Where do you want to be?
- Want to have at least 50% of members below 50 Years
- Achieve a club membership of 50
- Aiming at achieving gender balance
- Initiate such actions to motivate and retain members
- Encourage members to familiarize themselves with new technologies in order to take advantage of the R.I and District information system

How are you doing?
- Organising annual fund raising activities ( organisation takes 3 months)
- Finding sponsors for specific projects (all year round)
- Holding monthly Board meeting to monitor progress of club
- Monthly monitoring of expenses on projects and monitoring variation between estimates and expenditure
- Annual review on status of projects
